Seperti apakah wajah warga Singapura sebenarnya?

Pertanyaan yang tak kunjung habis ditanyakan, karena keunikan negara kota ini yang tak dimiliki tetangganya. Ia adalah negara terkecil dalam ukuran luas wilayah dan jumlah penduduk, namun termaju dari segi teknologi dan ekonomi, malah terkuat dalam urusan migrasi wisata dunia.

Lalu kita penasaran, apakah benar penduduknya memiliki kualitas yang sama dengan pencapaian negaranya? Silakan Anda lihat sendiri. Wajah warga Singapura ternyata tak pernah bisa diseragamkan. Mereka yang dihantui kesalahan politik masa lalu --Apprentice, mereka yang terpinggirkan dan dipinggirkan oleh strata sosial --A Yellow Bird, mereka yang berjuang sendirian menentang aturan --Singapore Minstrel, dan mereka yang memilih untuk hidup sendiri --03-Flats, membuat kita berpikir lagi: apa kita pernah tahu wajah tetangga kita yang sebenarnya?

If you ask what and how the face of Singapore would look like, what would it be? You don’t see any other countries like Singapore, especially not within its neighbours. It is the smallest in the region in terms of size and number of residents, yet it is far more advanced in terms of economy, technology, and passport.

 

Yet this often leads us to wonder, if the residents are as advanced as the nation’s aforementioned achievements. You’ll be the judge here. The faces of Singapore cannot be put in unison. There are those haunted by the past political leaning --Apprentice, those put on the sideline by society --A Yellow Bird, those who fight alone --Singapore Minstrel, and those who choose to be alone --03-Flats. These faces lead us to think further whether we know the real face of our neighbour?
