Amir Muhammad was born on December 5, 1972 in Kuala Lumpur. In 2000, he wrote and directed Malaysia’s first DV feature, Lips To Lips. Both this semi-musical documentary and Village People Radio Show (2007) were banned in Malaysia. In fact, none of his works had been theatrically released in his own country.
